The image above shows all of the reasons why an artist would create a music video for a song. As shown from this diagram there are various reasons an artist would want to produce a music video for their song. Overall I feel that the most important reason for a music video is for the audience to remember the song/artist and video. The reason for this is that after watching the music video, the audience would automatically think of the artist in the video every time they listened to the track. Therefore the artist would be able to build a relationship between him/her and the audience.

The image above is from Rihanna’s music video “take a Bow” this is an example of a close-up in order to show the audience who the artist is. The reason for this is that the artist can then build a relationship with their audience

This image is taken from the video of Taio cruz’s “no other one” I have chosen this image due to the fact that it is clearly showing that the artist is wealthy via the sports car and huge house in the background. The artist’s clothing also represents wealth.
To show and create new dance trends by featuring dance routines:

This is an image taken from the music video of the JLS song “Beat Again”. This is relevant due to the fact that throughout the video the group perform a series of dance routines in order to allow the audience to impersonate and idolise them.
